This marked hardwood sale area totals approximately 153.5-acres combined on the two adjacent tracts.  The total sale contains an estimated 392,637 board feet of hardwood sawtimber of which it is estimated that there is 176,204 board feet of white oak (45%), and 110,140 board feet of yellow poplar (28%). Hardin County

Trees marked with orange paint cannot be cut and must be protected during logging as they are being retained for scenic value as part of a residential development.  Otherwise all remaining merchantable timber can be cut and removed on approximately 54acres on two separate tracts. These tracts contain an estimated 228,652 board feet of Hardwood and Shortleaf Pine Sawtimber. 

 This is a winter logging job and all logging must be completed on or before June 1, 2007.  Again, this is a residential development project and the owners will most likely have equipment working on-site to clean up immediately behind the loggers as they move through the tracts.   SOLD

Weakley County

This is a selectively marked sale on a 179-acre farm with a marked acreage of 107+/- acres containing approximately 245,871 board feet of mixed bottomland hardwoods and cypress sawtimber (2298 bf/acre).  Very few oaks are found on the tract and none were marked for removal.  The purpose of this harvest is to leave all of the oaks for seed trees and open up the stand so that more oaks can become established.  The tract is located in the North Fork of the Obion River bottom with good access and logging.  SOLD
